"Is it safe to travel to Puerto
Penasco?"Much has been
reported about the safety of traveling to Mexico. Although there is
truth in the fact that some areas of Mexico have become less safe than they
once were, this does not effect all of the country. Fortunately,
Puerto Penasco is in a region of Mexico that is far removed from the issues
that are primarily centered in the border towns of Juarez and Nogales.
The border town of Sonoyta (the standard entry point for travel to Puerto
Penasco) has had no issues with violent activity. Most importantly, law
enforcement in both Sonoyta and Puerto Penasco are great. Feel secure in
travel to this gem on the shores of the Sea of Cortez.
